Welcome to Ga-Lun-La-Ti Observatory! I'm glad you found your way to my strange part of the universe. Click the links above or on the left to see more of the site.

We finally got the siding on.  Didn't quite have the corner completely attached there but you get the idea.  You can see the new white rubber roof too.  It probably needs a couple more coats but I think it is probably water tight right now.  I'll watch it through a couple of rains and decide if I keep it this way or put tar and tin over it.  The white roof would be cooler and that's a big thing in the South since it gets so hot here.  Anyway, lots of painting and trim to do but at least it is dried in.

Here are a couple more shots of the siding on the observatory.  The pic on the right shows what it looks like peering over the fence when viewed from the road.  The white roof really stands out.  Still not sure if I like it but it should help keep the temps down.  You can also see the trailer full of scraps blocking the view but I was too tired to move it.

Scope in the dome
Finally!  I have the LX200 installed and should get first light tonight.
