Welcome to Ga-Lun-La-Ti Observatory! I'm glad you found your way to my strange part of the universe. Click the links above or on the left to see more of the site.

I've been shooting rockets since I was a kid.  I stopped for a while and when the nephews and nieces got old enough to try it I figured it was a good excuse to shoot some again.  Now I have three boys under the age of 6 so it looks like I hopefully have years of model rocket shoots to look forward to.

Here are a few pics of a recent launch: (Thanks to Laura for taking the pics in the 93 degree heat)

Niko and Kaspir Rocket Scientists  Niko and Kaspir Rocket Scientists
Here are two of my little rocket scientists at work.  Niko and Kaspir have to make sure R2D2 is ready for his next mission.  Notice the camo shorts... very tactical.  This must be a classified military mission.

R2D2 on the go
Here's R2 on the go.  Kaspir did the honors since he's the most serious Star Wars fan.

Recovery team
Here's the recovery team after R2's successful mission.  The recovery team looks a lot like the science and launch team... strange.

Mercury Redstone launch
Here's my Mercury Redstone Liberty Bell 7 lifting off.  I like to build em but the kids get to shoot em.

Mercury Redstone on the pad
Back on the pad and ready for another launch.
